Pip van Steen studied flute at the Conservatory in Arnhem with Rien de Reede and continued his studies at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague in both classical and jazz music. He is a lecturer at the Lindenberg in Nijmegen. He is a famous composer of flute music. His Trios and Quartets are published by Broekmans & Van Poppel and Mifasolo. Pip is often asked as a jury member of flute competitions in the Benelux.
Marieke van der Lee studied at the conservatory of Utrecht clarinet. In 2016 she graduated with great distinction for her Master Diploma. As a child of professional musicians parents, the love for making music was already in the genes at young age. Besides teaching the clarinet she’s also frequently asked for guest performances in professional ensembles like military bands and symphonic orchestra’s. She newly got her dream job as clarinetist in the Royal Military Band. Making music together is her great passion and therefore she also earned a diploma for conducting. Her motto: what’s more enjoyable in making music? YES, making music together!
Marcel Siebers learned to play the piano when he was seven. He studied at the Conservatory of Arnhem with Janine van Mever. Later on he studied Carillon at the Dutch Carillon school in Amersfoort. Marcel has written several compositions for various instruments and ensembles. Some of his works for Carillon have won international awards. As a composer Marcel joined the Foundation of Composers from Limburg. In 2008 he received the culture prize of Cuijk and in 2016 he was awarded with the “Bronze Merlet” for distinguished cultural service in the Cuijk region.
